How do you get children to stick to a therapy program that lasts almost three months? With this question Wilhelmina Children's Hospital came to Monkeybizniz. Together we designed and developed three specialized apps and games to facilitate treatments both in the hospital and at home.
The Case
The Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital is known internationally for their groundbreaking therapeutic treatment of children with bladder problems. Looking for new ways to improve on therapy adherence while giving the children better agency and self efficacy, they asked Monkeybizniz to design an app to connect with their young patients and enhance motivation.
Our Design
Monkeybizniz designed three different apps, each targeting different needs and stages of the therapy of the children:
• The generic LUTS Uro-therapy app, to assist children with going to the toilet correctly
• The LUTS Academy app, for specialized therapy on-site at the hospital
• LUTS and the Misspissers, a very gamified version for training at home, designed to improve therapy adherence.
